The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee, invites applications for the tenure track position of Assistant Professor of Business Analytics in the Department of Business Analytics and Statistics.

Duties include: conduct research in the field of business analytics, collaborate with other faculty and students; strong and continuing record of publications in top-tier journals; teach courses related to business analytics at the undergraduate, masters, and PhD levels; advise students and facilitate industry connections. The position requires a Ph.D. (or ABD) in Statistics or in a Business discipline with an emphasis on Data Analytics (or foreign equivalent) and 1 year of experience (full time or part time) working in an applied business analytics role. It also requires documented original research in the field of business analytics through publication or papers submitted for publication; demonstrated knowledge of data mining or machine learning, customer analytics with traditional marketing or emerging sources, and R programming language; and successful completion of a background check.
